Throughout 2024-25, the school were involved in recording all of their social impact activities. Organised by the school council and Rotakids, monthly events such as donating food for harvest food banks, visiting elderly residents in a local care home, donating gifts for Stuff the Sleigh, Elf run, collecting shoes for Uganda and many other events mapped out our school year. This all resulted in all children having been involved in collecting over 600 social action badges and the school being awarded the Social Impact School Award.

Food Waste Strategy

Our Eco-Warriors  lead an initiative with the local council to increase the number of households recycling food waste. As a school, we have started to recycle our food waste which reduces the carbon dioxide emissions and also saves the school money at the same time. As part of the initiative, which is sponsored by H W Martins who run the council's recycling centres, the children are collected 'pledges' from local residents. As a reward for 1500 pledges being collected, the school  received a wildflower meadow on the school grounds.  Congratulations to Penny Y5 for designing the winning sticker which can be found on food caddies all round Neston.

Choir

Our fabulous choir sing at many events around Neston. They always represent us magnificently at the Neston Winter Fair and visit local care homes in the run up to Christmas.

Silver Mail

For a number of years, our Y5 children have been pen pals with a number of elderly Neston residents. Silver Mail provides the opportunity for inter-generational links through letter writing and sharing events. Our Silver Mail pen pals have watched school performances and visited for afternoon tea.
